McGuire Law Offices Welcomes Brent Schneider, Esquire: For People Who Don’t Like Lawyers

As we close out the year, McGuire Law Offices is proud to welcome Brent Schneider to our legal team. Brent’s path to the courtroom is anything but ordinary—and it’s exactly the kind of experience that strengthens our firm’s commitment to real advocacy for real people.

Brent’s career is defined by discipline, service, and leadership under pressure. Before becoming an attorney, he dedicated more than twenty years to the United States Army, serving in Special Operations and front-line infantry roles. His service earned him some of the nation’s highest military honors, including the Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, and a second Bronze Star Medal—recognitions reserved for extraordinary courage and commitment.

That same composure, focus, and integrity now define his approach to the law.

From Special Operations to the Courtroom

As a Ranger-qualified Master Sergeant and combat medic, Brent trained elite soldiers, worked alongside international partners, and operated in high-stakes environments where calm decision-making was critical. Those experiences shaped the way he approaches legal cases today—with precision, preparation, and an unwavering commitment to the people he represents.

Brent earned his Master’s degree in Public Policy and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, blending real-world leadership with a deep understanding of law, policy, and justice.

Practice Areas Rooted in Advocacy

Brent provides strategic legal representation across a wide range of matters, including:

  • Family Law & Divorce
  • Criminal Defense
  • Civil Rights Litigation
  • Immigration Law

He is widely respected for his calm courtroom presence, meticulous case preparation, and direct, honest communication with clients. Brent has handled complex and high-profile matters, including State of Florida v. Delvin Ford (20-08770-CF)—a nationally covered police shooting case in which he helped secure a full not-guilty verdict for the defendant.

A Philosophy Built on Strength and Empathy

Brent believes that effective advocacy requires more than legal knowledge—it requires empathy, perspective, and humanity. His military career taught him how to perform under pressure and lead with integrity, while his legal career allows him to stand beside individuals during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

He has also been published on issues involving mental health and justice reform, reflecting his belief that the legal system should protect rights while recognizing the human stories behind every case.

A Personal Commitment to Families

Outside the courtroom, Brent’s greatest pride is his family. He and his wife are raising six children, several of whom were adopted through the foster care system. This personal journey has deepened his understanding of family dynamics, child advocacy, and the importance of protecting children and parents during times of transition.

That lived experience informs his approach to family law cases—where outcomes impact not just legal rights, but real lives.
